“Golden Five” awarded in Paris



“Golden Five”, directed by Goran Trenchovski was awarded as Best Feature Film at the South-East Europe Film festival in Paris and also won the prize for editing.

 Film about the five students from Strumica opened the festival and superbly captivated the French audience and the international jury at the theater “Palace”, declared it as best one in the competition of 15 films. Editors of the “Golden Five” are Andrija Zafranovic and Aristide Filaktov.

 After the main prize “Golden Griffin” in Perugia and Special Award in Moscow, this is the fourth international award for the “Golden Five”. So far, eight months after the world premiere with over 15,000 viewers in Macedonia, this is the 10th festival participation of the film. By the end of the year, the film is selected for several other film festivals throughout Europe and the World.

The producer Revolution Production, is in negotiations with major television company interested to broadcast “Golden Five” to audience of over 50 millions and is already negotiating with several potential co-production countries for support of the new film project by Goran Trenchovski.

On the 3rd June, within the South-East Film Festival, the director Goran Trenchovski held a master class on the subject “Literature and Film” in the Institute INALCO (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations) at Sorbonne University.
